Bettona Siamo Noi is my ‘thank you’ to Bettona for accepting me into their fold. To me, Bettona is a microcosm for what the world should be: a place where everyone is welcomed and accepted. In this series of illustrations I seek to call attention to our sameness and diversity.
Self Portrait
You knew I’d have to get around to doing a self portrait didn’t you. When people ask me about my family I often explain it this way, I say, “My mother had 5 children, 4 American and 1 Italian.” It takes them a couple seconds before they get it and then they smile knowing that I’m the one with the good sense to have moved back to Italy.
